08.07.2006: *heaves a heavy sigh* I just keep disappearing for months on end, and I apologize. This club was easy to take care of when it was small and just starting out, but there are more and more join requests and comments and notes to check when I log in. It's exhausting. I'm exhausted. Have to work, after all.

Anyway, I'm implementing a new policy for new members. I will no longer accept any join request that doesn't have the subject of join. If you've devwatched the club and sent a note with said subject, I will not reply; I will simply add you. For those who don't devwatch the club before I check their join request, I will notify them only once that they must devwatch in order to be added to the club. Also, those who devwatch without sending me a join request will not be added to the club either. Furthermore, those who ask to join by commenting on a journal or frontpage will also be ignored. I do not have time to sift through everything with such a high velocity of join requests. ^_^;

Now on to the mini-contest! New members, please check the contest page for more information on the mini-contest. Old members: if you haven't entered the min-contest yet, I highly suggest you do! It's a good chance to get free art and it's really easy to do! Again, check the contest page for more info.

Now, I once-upon-a-time had a community assistant who helped me to organize the club extensively. That was greatly appreciated, but with my flakiness, she also stopped updating the members list and whatnot. Understandable. Since the club is now nearing 600 members, I've decided it would be a good idea to have three or four community assistants each in charge of a certain task, that way I don't have to worry about checking the club so often (as I'm really busy in real life but still want to take care of the club). With the worry of so much work being lifted from my shoulders, I'd be more motivated to improving the club, etc.

Anyway, my point is I'd like members of the club to note me with applications to be community assistants. There are a couple of older members I have in mind, but I don't want to pester them personally, so if they apply, they'd probably get the job. lol

I basically need one person to be in charge of fanart submissions and one to be in charge of contest organization, submissions, and voting, etc. Both of those people would also be expected to help add members and organize notes into their proper category (as I don't delete notes anymore. =d)

So, please note me and tell me why you want to help, what other experience you have in similar areas, references, etc. Like I said, I do prefer those people who have been members for quite a while, but if you have good references and experience, you might get it too.

Thank you all for sticking by this club even when I'm too busy to attend to it! Sorry for the lengthy update, but I had a lot to say. lol

PS - I forgot to note that if you've devwatched the club and sent a note a fairly long time ago and do not find yourself on either members page, please note me with subject "Not on List" and I'll correct it. ^_^ I also want to work on compiling a text name list like we used to have so that people may easily search our members.. alphabetically. =d

03.26.2006: Congrats, Hughes fans! We've now have over 500 members! Thanks to all of you who joined. Now, with so many members, you'd think we'd have a bit more participation. Would it help if there was some type of forum to discuss things? Or if I got a subscription for this account so that polls could be made and such? I've been thinking about doing that. How does that sound to everyone? Sound like a good idea or do you think it's not necessary?

Last thing, check the contests section for a mini-contest.

03.25.2006 Hey! ~nemisiscat here. It's been almost a year since I really did anything with this club! ~kanojotatsu has done a pretty good job at keeping up with the club until now. I have no idea what's up with her, so we'll just assume that she's busy.

Anyways, I've been busy since last March. Had some personal things going on in my life, etc. Hectic, hectic, hectic. >_<

Added six new affiliates and am now working on updating the members, too. Over a hundred notes to go through! And Remember, if you've watched the club, but haven't sent me a note, then I'm not going to add you. If I have time, I'm going to go through the list of watchers and the list of members and see how many there are that haven't added. If it sounds harsh, it's only because if you don't watch, you won't get updates and without knowing what's going on, you can't really be considered a member.

Thanks for sticking it out, and, as usual, if you have ideas for any contests or improvements, let me know.

01.17 Sorry about that guys. I told you that I would announce the winners on Christmas Day, but that didn't happen. Something came up in my family, and I honestly forgot about the contest. I'm really sorry. But everything's been solved now, so I should be back regularly. Thanks for holding out so long.

12.21 Congratulations guys! The contest has now closed! And judging from the vote turnout, there are a loooot of lurkers hangin' out here. Hm, I'm gonna have to do something about that... Anywho, winners will be announced on Christmas Day, so keep your eyes peeled!

On another note, I did some restructuring of the club's journals today. I discovered that the members list journal had reached the limit of icons, thus the errors and nearly 100 members' icons not appearing. There is now a second page to the members list. If you find any broken links in any of the journals though, please lemme know so that I can fix 'em! Also, I ditched the Alphabetical members list being as it really didn't serve any purpose anymore... >.>

12.17 Hey everybody! There are only three more days for you guys to
send in your votes. You know how I said I wanted at least 200? Well there are
only 31! Come on guys! Send those notes in, and if you know someone who
hasn't voted yet, poke 'em for me!

Also, I added a new club to the FMA Affiliates section. They're the brand
new ~TringhamBrothersClub, and they're the only club here on DA for that
adorable duo. Check 'em out!

12.09.2005 Okay guys! The Maes 2005 contest is ending tomorrow
night! If you're working hard to get that submission in before the deadline, you
better hussle! I'll be checking around 5 pm (WA time, whatever time zone that
is) for the last of the entries, but that'll be the end of it. I'll take no entries the
morning afterward. I apologize if this seems a bit harsh, but we have decided to
place all the entries together on a collage deviation and have you guys send
notes with your votes. I'm making that collage tomorrow night and if someone
were to submit the day after I would have to do it all over again and I just don't
want to do that. You still have a day left though, so work fast and you can make
it!

Another thing. If you have submitted a fanart to the club recently and it hasn't
been put up yet, there is good reason. I haven't forgotten about your
submission. I don't want to confuse users by submitting fanart and contest
entries at the same time, so the fanart will be submitted two pics per day soon
after the contest ends. Thanks for understanding!

11.27.2005 Aaugh! I know, I know! But hold your tomatoes, the club
will be up to date soon. I'm just having a real hard time this year because it's
my senior year in high school, so anyone else that is a senior or graduated
recently should know what I'm going through. I'm going to try and really put in
a lot of effort into the club this week, but I still can't gaurantee anything. So sit
tight for just a bit more.

10.01.2005 - Apologies for yet another long lag between updates.
Anywho, added 23 new members to the club, so please welcome them all here!
There are also twelve new clubs that have been added to our affiliates and are
all really aching for some new members. Please do them a favor and at least
look at their pages! The new clubs are the ones surrounded by the 'new'
emoticons.

favorite what we submit to the gallery! Go to the artist's page (I've even linked
you to the original deviation) and favorite it there! The artists deserve
the favorites! Not the club! Please keep this in mind.

04.12.2005 - Lots of things occuring lately! This is a small thing, but we
just got our 200th member! Congrats to *youlootamax! If you want a gift art
let me know. ^ ^ It might take a while since I have two other gift arts, plus
school to take care of. >_< But you'll get it eventually!

Oh well, let's keep this club growing and remember, if you have any ideas for
the club, let me know!

04.11.2005 - The contest should be closed today, but since we've only
received three entries, I'm gonn leave it open for another week or two to see if I
can catch any procrastinators.

Also, I went through and compared the alphebetical member list to the icon
member list and there's 193 listed on the icon member list and only 189 listed for
the alphabetical listing. Now, I went through and thoroughly compared the lists,
but could only find three of the missing people. If you could, please check the
Alphabetical Member List for your name and tell me if you're not on the list. Thanks. ^ ^

EDIT: Nevermind. o_O I'm smart. lol I found the missing member, plus
another member who wasn't accounted for at all. o_O lol

04.08.2005 - Don't forget guys! The contest is still running! You've still
got 'til Monday, so hurry and draw up a whole storm of entries.

Also, BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!! Since it's against DA policy to add a member's
artwork to the club's favorites, we've had to switch the way we run things.
The club will now be accepting FMA fanart and submitting it to the club's gallery.
All credit will go to the artist, of course. This way the artist can get
a whole lot more attention for their hard work, no matter what their skill level.
So go on ahead and send in those fanart! Just be sure to send us a note with a
link to the deviation, with a title that lets us know what it is. And please, give us
a link to a non-.png format picture, pngs are very hard to work with.

03.24.2005 - The club is currently undergoing massive renovations, so
sorry if it's left unfinished for a few hours! Hopefully you guys will like this layout
better, and I hope it gets you guys a little more active! I'll try and finish the
updates when I get home from school today. Oh yeah, and sorry all you guys
who have been waiting to join! I'll add you to the list when I get home as well.
